9th - 17th October 2026

A deliciously juicy festival of Anglo-Latinx theatre & music in the heart of Bristol

Eating With Others

Last time we introduced EATING WITH OTHERS to the programme and as it was such a success, we’re bringing it back!

EATING WITH OTHERS:
Date: Monday 12th October
7pm - Poetry & Cocktails @ East Bristol Books
8pm - Dinner @ Gigi’s Pizza Shop

On the Monday of the festival we’re hosting a communal supper. A 20-person meal that celebrates everything PAPAYA Fest is about: Anglo-Latinx fusion and radical togetherness.

Talking to strangers is a bit of a lost skill these days and, we’d argue, a life-affirming one. This is a night built entirely around it: eating with others, sharing a table and getting stuck into conversation with people you’ve never met.

And because every good gathering should have a purpose, this time we’re taking it further. Together, over dinner, we’ll be working on a manifesto for Bristol to get the city talking to strangers again. It’ll be a powerful and fun evening, filled with laughter and food.

This year, getting a seat couldn’t be simpler:

Follow us on Instagram and comment MESA on any of our posts for a chance to enter the draw.

We’ll select 20 names at random. It’s completely FREE, and it’s for individuals rather than couples or pairs - people who are up for a slightly experimental, very sociable evening.

[Please note - we can’t cater for vegans or nut allergies. Sorry!]

More details to follow for our lucky winning diners.
